
Erica Tennyson is a fiercely passionate lover of film. Beginning in 2012 she focused that passion by working for film festivals including Sundance, Los Angeles Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, Mill Valley Film Festival, San Francisco International, Tribeca Film Festival, and AFI Fest. Most notably she was the director of the Big Bear Film Festival for 2 years.
She then pivoted to focus her talents and ambition towards writing and producing. She received her MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia University. She has worked on many films, including her own adaptation of Joelle Jones’ Lady Killer. Erica was a 2020 Sloan Feature Screenplay Award winner for her feature, After Party. Her pilot, The Canal Zone, is based on her grandmother’s experiences in Panama and received Faculty Honors at the 2022 Columbia University Film Festival. She completed development internships at Blumhouse, Kaleidoscope, and Nine Stories Productions. She is an energetic, detail-oriented, and effective producer. Erica lives in Queens, New York with her husband.
